Tire shop inventory apps compared (2026)

DuroBay, Used Tire Shop Inventory, Tire Shop Wizard, ARI, Shopmonkey and Tekmetric side by side: platforms, listed prices, Spanish, used-tire fields.

This page is for owners of small tire shops, usually one to three bays, who want to know which apps can track their tires and ring up a sale. We make DuroBay, one of the apps listed here, so read our row with that in mind. Every competitor fact below comes from the vendor's own store listing or pricing page, checked on October 18, 2026.

Where a listing does not say something, we write "not stated". That does not mean the feature is missing. It means we could not confirm it from their own page.

How we compared

These five questions are adapted from our guide to choosing software for a small tire shop. That guide has six items, including DOT on the printed receipt and offline lookup, and DuroBay misses both; the questions below are the ones a store listing can answer:

We did not test the apps ourselves. This is a comparison of what each vendor says on its own pages. That is a real limit, because a listing can be out of date and a feature can work better or worse than its description, so treat the tables as a starting list for your own test on a slow afternoon rather than a final verdict on any product.

Apps built for tire inventory

Three apps on the stores are built mainly around a rack of tires rather than a repair bay.

Read the store signals with care. Of the three, Used Tire Shop Inventory shows the longest record, with an iOS version 5 from August 2023 and a Google Play update from December 2025. DuroBay is new as of October 2026. Tire Shop Wizard shows 500+ downloads on Google Play, and a single 5.0 rating on the App Store says very little either way about how an app holds up on a busy Saturday with three customers waiting at the counter.

Auto repair systems that also handle tires

ARI, Shopmonkey and Tekmetric are repair-shop systems. Tires are part of what they track, next to parts, labor and technicians. If most of your work is repair orders, scheduled service and jobs split across several techs, a system built for that is probably a better fit than a tire-only app.

Tekmetric also lists integrated payments. That matters if you want card processing inside the same system that writes the repair order.

What the free tiers cover

Here are the free tiers in one place. Used Tire Shop Inventory's Starter tier lists 300 tires, 1 user and 50 sales invoices a month. DuroBay's Free plan lists 100 tires, 1 user, 30 scans a month and 25 receipts a month. Tire Shop Wizard is a free download, but its plan pricing is not published and it needs an account. ARI's free tier covers 5 invoices or clients. Shopmonkey and Tekmetric publish monthly plans that start at $239 and $199.

Caps matter. A 100-tire cap fills up fast on a busy used rack, and a cap on receipts or invoices decides how many real sales you can run through an app before you pay, so count your own rack and your own weekly sales before you pick a free tier to test.

Where each one wins

Each of these products does something well. The right pick depends on the shop.

Used Tire Shop Inventory shows 10K+ installs on Google Play, an iOS version 5 from August 2023 and a Google Play update from December 2025, and it has the largest listed free allowance in this group: 300 tires for one user. Its pricing page lists a recall identifier, and it covers car dealers and auto recyclers as well as tire shops.

Tire Shop Wizard calls itself "built exclusively for the tire industry", it is a free download, and it lists barcode scanning, voice entry and search by tread depth. It suits a shop that wants a tire-only tool and does not mind creating an account first.

ARI has the largest rating base here by far, with 1.38K reviews on Google Play and 272 ratings on the App Store. It does repair invoicing. It runs on Windows as well as phones, and it lists Spanish.

Shopmonkey and Tekmetric are full repair-shop systems, with repair invoicing and their own mobile apps. That is a different job from a tire-only app, and for a shop doing real service work it is the right one. Tekmetric's Tire Suite adds DOT registration for shops that sell tires alongside repairs.

DuroBay reads a tire's sidewall from a photo, keeps tread, grade and DOT on every used tire, works in Spanish, and lists its prices on the site. It also gives every shop a free public page with live stock.

Where DuroBay is weaker

DuroBay launched in 2026, so it has no store ratings and no long track record yet. It needs an internet connection, with no offline mode. The receipt prints the brand, the size and (new) or (used) for each tire; the DOT and tread depth stay on the tire's record in the app. It does not write repair orders or book appointments, and it does not process card payments inside the app.

If any of those is a deal-breaker, one of the other products here is the better choice. There is also no data export button yet; support sends a copy of your data by email on request.

How to choose

A few short rules cover most shops:

Prices and features change often. Everything above was checked on October 18, 2026, and the right move is to open each vendor's page before you decide. For our own details, see About DuroBay. If your rack is mostly used tires, what used-tire software needs to track goes deeper on the fields.

Common questions

What's the best free tire inventory app?

It depends on the cap you can live with. Used Tire Shop Inventory lists a free Starter tier for 300 tires, 1 user and 50 sales invoices a month. DuroBay's Free plan covers 100 tires, 1 user, 30 scans and 25 receipts a month. Tire Shop Wizard is a free download with plan pricing not published. ARI's free tier stops at 5 invoices or clients.

Is there tire shop software in Spanish?

Yes. DuroBay works in Spanish and English, from the menus to the receipt headings, and ARI lists Spanish in its Google Play description. For Used Tire Shop Inventory, Tire Shop Wizard and Shopmonkey, Spanish is not stated on the listings we checked, and Tekmetric's mobile app is English only.

Do I need repair-shop software if I only sell tires?

Usually not. Systems like Shopmonkey and Tekmetric are built around repair orders, technicians and service work. Tekmetric's listed plans start at $199 a month and Shopmonkey's at $239 a month. A shop that mostly sells and mounts tires can start with an app built for tire inventory and move up if it adds a service department.

Can I try before paying?

Yes, for most of them. DuroBay, Used Tire Shop Inventory and ARI list free tiers, and Tire Shop Wizard is a free download. New DuroBay subscribers also get 2 months free on paid plans in the app stores. Check each vendor's page for their current trial terms.
